Microcredit funds and start-up initiatives significantly promote start-ups

Since the start-up offensive in November 2018, microcredit commitments from the German Microcredit Fund have increased by 34 percent.

The Microcredit fund provides loans for small and micro-startups. It increasingly supports migrants and women entrepreneurs who wish to start a business. It also focuses on commercial social enterprises, which the fund is open to during the start-up and growth phases.

The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs have provided a comprehensive offering with the currently accredited microfinance institutions.
