Record investments in German insurtechs

Over 173 million US dollars flowed into German insurtechs last year, according to a recent study. Direct insurers were particularly successful.

Compared to 2017 The Insurtech industry was able to almost double the capital raised from 74 million to 173 million US dollars, thus reaching a record high. Overall, the study by the Munich-based company Finanzchef24twelve financing rounds in the insurtech industry.

“Insurtechs understand how to serve customers’ needs”

Digital direct insurers secured the largest share of investments, with USD 92 million. Digital insurance folders, on the other hand, were less in demand among investors.
