Support program for women: Looking for entrepreneurs of the future

Attention women in leadership positions: The Entrepreneurs of the Future program, sponsored by Global Digital Women (GDW), the Association of German Women Entrepreneurs (VdU), Brigitte Academy, and Amazon, is entering its third round. Interested parties can apply until the end of February!

Entrepreneurs of the Future helps female entrepreneurs prepare their businesses for the digital age. Expert coaches and cooperation partners accompany and support the 20 participants for six months as they increase their companies' brand awareness, optimize processes, and reach their customers through digital commerce.

“Creating new role models”

For example, female entrepreneurs can expand a local store with e-commerce offerings, reach new customers around the world via digital infrastructures, or establish their own brand online. Tjien Onaran, founder of Global Digital Women and co-initiator says:

“Female Entrepreneurs of the Future should create new role models: women who transform their companies into powerhouses for digital commerce, export, and brand building—and thus inspire many other female entrepreneurs.”

“Digital economy is not just a man’s business!”

Dorothee Baer, Minister of State for Digital Affairs, is impressed by the program:

"The participants so far have proven that the digital economy isn't just a man's game! Their ideas and leadership skills inspire and show how success is possible in the digital world."

Owners and managing directors of companies with up to 30 employees can apply until February 28, 2019: Whether it's a startup or a family business, an innovative beauty brand or a traditional B2B business, whether from a big city or a rural region — the funding program is open to everyone who wants to better utilize the potential of the Internet for selling their products.

The participants who most successfully manage the digital transformation of their business, demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit and make bold decisions, according to the call for applications, will be honored at the end of the program by an independent jury consisting of representatives of the cooperation partners and politicians.
