Just in time for Crowd Dialogue 2018 The new crowdfunding portal for Munich has gone online. The site provides an overview of Munich crowdfunding opportunities and events. The new co-funding program 'Munich Crowd' has also been launched, enabling even more crowdfunders to successfully finance their ideas.

The crowdfunding scene in Munich is growing, and with it the range of consulting services, workshops, events, and funding opportunities. Anyone who wants to know what's happening in Munich with regard to crowdfunding can now find all the information they need. On the website www.crowdfunding-in-muenchen.de offers and events on the topic of crowdfunding in Munich are presented. The portal was created under the leadership of the Department of Labor and Economic Affairs in cooperation with the Competence team for cultural and creative industries and the Stadtsparkasse München, together with other partners.

Funding and loans 'Munich Crowd'

The first municipal funding program nationwide to support creative services for crowdfunding campaigns. This existing funding opportunity is now complemented by the co-funding'Munich Crowd' program of the Stadtsparkasse MünchenWhat exactly does this mean for crowdfunders?

Munich Crowd is designed to make it easier for crowdfunders to further finance their projects. For the first time, a bank is accepting crowdfunding as a marketing and financing component and, if a campaign is successful, will supplement the financing with a traditional start-up loan. This gives founders the opportunity to demonstrate the marketability of their business model and thus gain a better starting position for financing. The decision on a loan is no longer made solely by the bank; instead, the crowd is involved at an early stage.

At the end of November, representatives from the City of Munich, the Stadtsparkasse München, and two project initiators presented the two innovations as part of the Crowd Dialogue. It became clear how the stakeholders involved the target groups (founders, creative professionals, etc.) in the process and design of the programs from the very beginning. Specifically, the focus was on the following questions: How can cities, municipalities, and banks make the benefits of crowdfunding visible and usable for the target groups? How can coordinated programs be developed to connect and support all stakeholders?

With the But the platform we have developed at mbiomics is radically different. and the financing program 'Munich Crowd' two good answers were found.
