The Munich-based aviation startup Lilium has filled several key positions. Mirko Reuter, previously Head of Automated Driving at Audi AG, joins the team as Head of Autonomous Flight at Lilium. Jakob Wäschenbach, previously Head of Equipment Installation at Airbus, will become Head of Aircraft Assembly, and Rochus Mönter, formerly Vice President Finance & Lease at Airbus, will join the Munich-based startup as General Counsel & Head of Legal.
After Lilium had already brought Frank Stephenson into the company as chief designer in May this year, the young company can now attract additional experts: As Head of Autonomous Flight, Mirko Reuter will lead and further develop all key competencies related to technology, process, and validation for the challenges of autonomous aircraft systems. Reuter comes from Audi, where he served as Head of Automated Driving. He comments on his new role at Lilium:

Additionally, Jakob Wäschenbach will join the Lilium team as Head of Aircraft Assembly, and Rochus Mönter will serve as General Counsel & Head of Legal. The former will be responsible for the convergence between aircraft and automotive production, while Mönter will further expand the company's legal department.

Jakob Wäschenbach, who comes from Airbus, says about his move to Lilium:
