The two Munich-based startups Magazino and Quantum Systems are among the winners of "The Spark – The German Digital Award." The award, which was presented for the third time this year, is sponsored by Handelsblatt and McKinsey.
Munich, the startup hub, can score twice as much at the "The Spark" digital award: Magazino and Quantum Systems, two startups with a Munich base, impressed the jury. The prize is awarded annually to teams that the jury believes have the potential to fundamentally change the industry with their innovations.
Topic 2018: “Robotics”
Following "Industry 4.0" in 2016 and "Artificial Intelligence" last year, this year's competition focused on "Robotics." After a multi-stage selection process, a total of 10 applicants made it to the finals. Three evaluation criteria were decisive: novelty, scalability, and customer benefit.
The final consisted of a live pitch before a high-profile jury. The winners were announced last week in front of 300 invited guests from politics, science, and business.
First place went to Magazine, followed by Vincent Systems from Karlsruhe. Third place went to Quantum Systems.
