The "Built on IT" competition promotes new ideas for the construction industry. A total of €20,000 will be awarded. Applications are open until November 11.
With the "Built on IT" competition, the RKW Competence Center offers young talent a platform to present their digital ideas to a broad audience. A total of €20,000 will be awarded in four competition categories: Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, and Crafts and Technology. The first-place winners in each category will receive €2,500. Runners-up will receive €1,500, and third place will receive €1,000. In addition, a special prize for startups will be offered for the first time this year, with a cash prize of €2,000.
Four competition categories for the construction industry
In the field of construction management, students, recent graduates, spin-offs and young professionals can submit digital ideas and practical solutions that address construction activities and the operation of buildings throughout their entire life cycle.
The Civil Engineering competition is looking for digital ideas and solutions for the areas of conception, planning, design, construction and calculation of buildings.
The architecture prize is also aimed at students, young graduates, spin-off companies and young professionals.
Young professionals, trainees and trainers who have developed and implemented innovative and practical digital solutions in their professional lives and training can apply for the Crafts and Technology sector.
The special Startup Award recognizes young founders with innovative digital solutions for the construction industry. The startup should have been founded no more than two years ago.
Interested parties must first register by 11 November 2018 on-line Register. The deadline for submitting the work is November 25, 2018.
