The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and the project platform Munich Members are offering Bavarian startups a glimpse into Pakistan, the emerging IT services country. Innovative young companies can apply until Monday, October 1, 2018. The delegation trip begins on October 21 and lasts until October 26.
Pakistan has all the prerequisites to develop a globally competitive digital ecosystem. The country boasts a successful software and IT services industry and a large, young, urban population highly interested in using and developing digital technologies and services. The country is already one of the world's leading providers of IT services. Pakistan's powerful low-cost IT outsourcing sector generates over $2 billion annually, with an annual growth rate of 17 percent.
Under the leadership of the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy and Technology, a high-ranking business delegation from 21 to 26 October Explore Pakistan and in particular explore cooperation opportunities in the megacities of Karachi and Islamabad.
Exploring the Pakistani startup scene
During the stay, the Pakistani startup scene will also be closely examined. The program includes meetings with incubators and investors, as well as with representatives of the new Pakistani government, to learn about the power behind the Pakistani digital market.
The delegation trip offers Bavarian startups in the e-commerce sector, as well as providers of digital products, technologies, and services, a unique opportunity to initiate bilateral cooperation and possibly venture into the gigantic Pakistani market with over 200 million inhabitants.
Costs are kept within limits: startups are supported
The Ministry and Munich Members support the participating startups in planning their trip. A clear concept with detailed objectives is required. To complement this, the organizers facilitate meetings with relevant company decision-makers and visits to production facilities that may be of interest to the project.
Particularly lucrative: the costs for the selected startups are very manageable thanks to the support of various partners.
To take advantage of this opportunity, startups based in Bavaria can apply to Munich Members to participate in the delegation trip.
