For the second time, WeWork is launching the Creator Awards – a global initiative that recognizes exceptional ideas from artists, creative minds, NGOs, and companies across all industries and startup phases. Last year, this concept distributed over $17 million to 187 winners worldwide, including over $1 million to German founders. The application deadline is September 28, 2018.
How to apply
To participate, founders and companies can now Submit a 90-second video online, in which they present their idea and vision. The application deadline is September 28. Participation alone is worthwhile: Every qualified applicant receives a 12-month “We Membership” and thus free access to all WeWork-locations worldwide.
Social entrepreneurs also welcome
After the application deadline, selected founders will be invited to a pitch. A jury of industry experts will select the finalists, who will travel to Berlin for the German finals on November 15. After a pitch on stage in front of over 1,000 spectators, the winners of the "Business Venture Award" will receive between $130,000 and $360,000 in funding. The prize money will be invested in the form of a SAFE investment.
In addition to profit-oriented companies, artists and social enterprises can also apply for the Creator Award in the additional categories “Non-Profit Award” and “Performing Arts Award”.
