Startups can apply for funding on the topic of "Artificial Intelligence - Big Data" together with a partner until July 15. The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs aims to advance projects in the fields of data analysis, data science, and artificial intelligence.
With the "Artificial Intelligence – Big Data" initiative, the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy and Technology (StMWi) is supporting innovative collaborative projects in the fields of data analysis, data science, and artificial intelligence as part of the "Bayern Digital II" master plan. These projects are intended to advance digitalization in Bavaria and support efforts to address future societal challenges.
Up to 50% of the costs are funded
What does this mean in concrete terms? A joint project, also known as a project consortium, must consist of at least two partners, with at least one company participating. Startups, for example, can bring in a partner from a university, college, or non-university research institution. Only work conducted in Bavaria will be funded. Companies can with up to 50 percent of the eligible costs be funded. Personnel and material costs are included here.
Small and medium-sized enterprises, including startups, are particularly encouraged to submit project outlines. The project runs until the end of 2021.
In a nutshell: A project proposal consists of
- a project outline with a maximum length of 15 pages and
- the “Company Information” form, which contains business information about the respective company and its utilization prospects.
