Fraunhofer connects startups with researchers: Startups can apply for TandemCamp IV with a Fraunhofer researcher of their choice and their joint cooperation project until April 29, 2018.
TandemCamp is a format of TechBridge to support Fraunhofer startup collaborations. So-called "tandems," consisting of researchers and young entrepreneurs, can receive expert support and a cooperation budget of €10,000 for the initial steps of their joint collaboration. Tandem teams from all technology areas are eligible to participate.

Applications are open online until April 29, but can only be submitted by Fraunhofer employees. Nine selected tandems will then be invited to a kick-off workshop in Munich on May 18. Five winning teams will be selected through a pitch to a jury. Each team will receive a €10,000 preparatory budget for their projects. In addition to the planning workshop, pitch training, coaching, and initial funding, follow-up funding of €50,000 is also available.
Resources for the implementation of the cooperation will be provided by both sides, and Fraunhofer know-how or technology will be utilized. Preference will be given to cooperation projects with a medium- to long-term time horizon. Winners of previous tandem camps include: Mecuris.
