The Munich-based start-up curingshot produces a ginger shot with turmeric, orange, and pepper—vegan, cold-pressed, and additive-free. What makes it special? We asked founder Tobias Spiethaler our 7 questions.
1. Who are you and what do you do? Please briefly introduce yourself and your product!
I used to be a competitive athlete but had to give it up due to health reasons. Afterward, I focused a lot on nutrition to get back on track naturally. Ginger and turmeric were a huge part of my recipe for success.
What's special about curingshot is that we've designed our recipe not only for great taste, but also for full functionality. Ginger wasn't named the Medicinal Plant of the Year in 2018 for nothing. Turmeric perfectly complements the whole, while orange rounds out the flavor experience and is the perfect source of vitamin C.

There's always room for improvement! We're currently working on steadily expanding our retail partners and have already achieved initial success with them, such as Feinkost Käfer and Karstadt.
5. What does Munich mean to you?
In addition to offering a wonderful lifestyle, Munich also offers a very strong economic base. We are very pleased to have found all of our important partners in the Munich area.
