At the Bitkom conference hub.berlin, Get Started, the digital association's startup initiative, is hosting the Innovators' Pitch for the twelfth time. Blik from Munich is one of the three winning companies.
The pitch competition honors innovative ideas and technologies in the categories of Digital Health, IoT, and Travel & Tourism. Nine finalists presented their startups at Bitkom's Business Festival. In the IoT category, Blik from Munich secured the win and €5,000 in prize money. The company focuses on real-time monitoring of goods and processes. The combined software and hardware solution provides intelligent sensor data, enabling transparent logistics for Industry 4.0.
In addition to Blik, Boca Health and Twyla also win
The victory in the Digital Health category goes to the startup Boca Health from Milan. The company has developed a non-invasive solution that enables the measurement and monitoring of body water, which can help prevent heart and kidney diseases. Twyla was a winner in the Travel & Tourism category. The Berlin-based company aims to improve the digital customer experience through chatbots. Twyla's solution can be integrated into commonly used airline enterprise systems to enable data-driven customer interaction.
"The finalists of the Innovators' Pitch impressively demonstrated which business models are emerging in the Internet of Things, how digitalization is transforming the areas of health and travel & tourism, and what new opportunities this opens up for companies. They impressed not only the jury but also the audience at hub.berlin,"
said Christian Rietz from Bitkom.
“With Blik, Boca Health, and Twyla, the three start-ups ultimately prevailed with particularly innovative solutions.”
