The allegations against Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey of sexual harassment are piling up. Now the Bits & Pretzels founders have also spoken out and announced that the first partnership with the US actor announced in September is suspended for the time being.
“We have met Kevin Spacey as a loyal business partner, who often helped us out personally and who shares the great vision of Bits & Pretzels with us. Without him, Bits & Pretzels would not be where it is today.”
With these words, Bits & Pretzels organizers Andreas Bruckschlögl, Bernd Storm, and Felix Haas introduced the email in which they officially commented on their partnership with the US star last night. Despite the positive working relationship, they distanced themselves from the actor, stating that, in their view, he is not the right ambassador for the Munich Founders Festival due to the current allegations. The partnership will not be terminated, but suspended until further information becomes available.
The reactions in social networks such as Twitter or Facebook Opinions on this decision are mixed: While some are talking about a “courageous decision” speak others would have a “Standing shoulders with Kevin Spacey” desired.
