Application for start-up competition – Digital Innovations launched

Those interested in starting a business can submit their ideas to the "Start-up Competition - Digital Innovations" starting now until October 4, 2017. Cash prizes, feedback, and coaching are available.

To participate, the submitted products and services must have a central ICT focus. Up to six startup ideas can expect main prizes of €32,000 each, and up to fifteen additional projects can receive €7,000 each. In addition to the prize money, the winning startups will receive individual coaching and access to an established network of experts and investors.

Project Manager Wolfram Gross says:

"In addition to the awards for cross-industry startups and start-up projects, this year we are awarding a special prize on the future topic of 'Industry 4.0'. Thanks to the digital networking of manufacturing processes, resources can be used much more efficiently. Furthermore, completely new business models will emerge, leading to a huge increase in value creation."

The Founders’ Competition – Digital Innovations was recently a successful venue for Munich startups: In March became Caala, Youmo, Laralab and User lane excellent there.

Application for the start-up competition in two phases

The application process is divided into two phases: In the first phase, prospective founders can submit an idea sketch of up to fifteen pages online by October 4. All applicant teams will receive written expert feedback with an analysis of the strengths and weaknesses, feasibility, and marketability of their idea.

In the second phase, until January 2, 2018, the top 50 ideas will have the opportunity to incorporate the feedback received, revise their concept, and resubmit. The best startup projects will then be awarded prizes in spring 2018.
