Happy brushing: 7 questions for… happybrush!

Morning, noon, and night: That's what the dentist recommends. And anyone who slacks off on brushing their teeth risks a painful visit from Karius and Baktus. Their biggest opponents at the moment are Florian Kiener and Stefan Walter, the founders of happybrush. They are fully committed to oral care and promise innovation in daily brushing. Find out more in our 7 questions:

1. Who are you and what do you do? Please briefly introduce yourself and your product!

Happybrush is the brainchild of my co-founder, Flo, and I, Stefan. In our previous jobs, we both worked extensively in oral care (at Procter & Gamble for Oral-B & blend-a-med) before founding happybrush this spring.

With happybrush, we want to breathe new life into the dusty oral care market. With a powerful lithium-ion battery that lasts up to three weeks. With an aesthetic design, for which we recently won the Red Dot Design Award. With recyclable cardboard packaging instead of plastic for the brush heads, and with no questionable ingredients in the toothpaste, instead of natural mint oil. All of this at truly fair prices. After all, professional oral care should be affordable for everyone.

2. But that's been around for a long time!

Not quite. Electric toothbrushes already exist, of course, but it's more than that. It's simple, effective, and honest, with a certain design focus. It should also be fun. We want to combine fair prices with professional oral care. And we also want to help others, which is why we donate 1 EUR per starter kit to VIVA CON AGUA. In short: We want to make the world and oral care a little bit better. Because that makes everyone happy!

Our happybrush is very well received. We're growing steadily and are therefore looking to the future with optimism. We still have a lot planned with new products and plans.

5. What does Munich mean to you?

For us, Munich is a perfect combination of our personal and professional dreams. We simply feel at home here, both when we're working and when we're taking a break.

6. How will your startup become the next unicorn? Or will we see you soon at Epic Fail Night?

We have quite a lot planned for this year alone, which means we're eyeing half a unicorn in the next five years. When you imagine it halved, we mean the part with the head and unicorn.

7. Fish on a stick or pork knuckle?

Two pork knuckles, please!
