Investments for energy startups and new technologies

InnoEnergy, previously known as a competition for innovative project proposals, is now launching more aggressively as an investor in technology-oriented energy concepts.

Sustainable innovation projects can apply for the sixth investment round until April 7, 2017.

We are looking for groundbreaking technologies in the field of energy innovation. The prerequisite is that the technology concepts have already demonstrated their technical feasibility.

How do startups benefit?

Startups particularly benefit from the network of industry experts, companies and researchers who help to implement the product or service and bring it to market successfully.

Financing is also provided: Since 2011, the participating projects have been supported in raising a total of 1.2 billion euros. 147 million euros of this was invested directly by InnoEnergy; the vast majority was financed by partner companies and investors. This resulted in 77 patent applications and 78 products out.

Diego Pavia, CEO of InnoEnergy, says:

“Our investment round for innovation projects has already enabled a number of success stories and the impact on technologies is clear – more than 3 billion euros in forecast sales."

This year's investment round features a simplified application process. A three-page questionnaire makes the round more accessible to the growing number of candidates. The application process will also be explained in two free webinars.

The investment round is open until April 7, 2017. Further information on how to participate can be found on the InnoEnergy website.
