As part of the Bavarian Medical Technology Funding Initiative, the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology (StMWi) is calling for proposals for funding projects by 12:00 noon on January 31, 2017.
The aim of the funding initiative is to secure companies a leading position in the innovation competition in order to maintain and expand growth and employment in Bavaria in the long term. In the field of medical technology, key technologies are being used that can provide answers to the social challenges of our time.
Focus on “Digital Healthcare”
The funding is intended to stimulate research and development (R&D) in the field of medical technology and accelerate the implementation of research results into new products and processes. The goal of the R&D projects is to increase competence and efficiency in the healthcare system in Bavaria and Germany.
The focus of this call for proposals is on the topic “Digital healthcare” with a focus on telemedicine, eHealth, and mHealth. All submitted projects must be related to this topic area.
1.8 million euros are available
The call for proposals is aimed at alliances that have the potential to bring the research into the market.
The intention is to fund up to six collaborative research projects over a period of up to three years. A total of approximately 1.8 million euros in funding is available for all projects.
