Changes to the Small Investor Protection Act

With the Adoption of the new Small Investor Protection Act The Bundestag has set a new course for crowdinvesting in Germany. The amendments to key aspects of the law are positive. The final law is expected after the vote in the Bundesrat in June.

The planned regulations for crowdinvesting in the Small Investor Protection Act were long criticized. Despite exemptions for this new form of financing, there were major hurdles that would have made crowdfunding significantly more difficult for young companies in practice.
