Game Changer 2016 – FlixBus is a pioneer in the German economy

"Beacons of the German Economy": FlixBus is this year's winner of the Game Changer Award. The mobility provider was honored in the Customer Experience category for the "best disruptive improvement in customer value." Together with SAP and Infineon Technologies, FlixBus was recognized as Germany's pioneer in the digital age.

"We are extremely proud of our team and our medium-sized bus partners. Only through courage and passion have we made the success of FlixBuses in Germany possible,"

so André Schwämmlein, FlixBus Co-founder and Managing Director. Together with Jochen Engert and Daniel Krauss Schwämmlein founded FlixBus as a three-man operation in Munich. The company is now the clear market leader in Germany and Europe, and its green FlixBuses transport millions of people annually. In cooperation with regional SMEs, the former startup has created around 3,000 new jobs in Germany.

“The rules of the analogue world have changed”

“FlixBus’s business model is compelling,”

so Jury member and Bain CEO Walter Sinn.

“The company quickly and consistently entered an opening market and, with its digital approach, changed the rules of the game in the analog world.”

Chairman of the Board of Management of the BMW Group Harald Krüger gave the laudatory speech at a gala on November 17th in Berlin’s “Gasometer”.
