“We help to sustainably embed training content in everyday working life” – 7 questions for… everskill!

Everyone knows this: You attend continuing education or training courses, ideally learn useful things, but never apply them in your daily work. This is exactly where the Munich-based startup everskill comes in.

1. Who are you and what do you do? Please briefly introduce yourself and your product!

We, Daniel Schmelzer (33) and Benjamin Schneck (32), have been working on our doctorate at the Technical University of Munich I, Daniel, have a doctorate in behavioral psychology, and Ben has one in entrepreneurial behavior. During this time, we came up with the idea of developing software that would integrate soft skills training content into everyday work. And thus, everskill was born.

The software-based program supports participants following learning and further training in sustainably anchoring training content in their daily workTo achieve this, we combine knowledge of behavioral psychology with machine learning approaches. Our product can be used as an app and a browser version. Everskill is characterized by close collaboration with professional trainers and individual adaptation to the respective training programs.

2. But that's been around for a long time!

While there are already similar concepts that also focus on continuing education, these are mostly B2C business models that don't include a holistic program. We, on the other hand, offer a sustainable, complete package, from trainers and apps to analytical tracking.

3. What has been your biggest challenge so far?

One of our biggest challenges was to reconcile our individual ideas.

“We are starting a new financing round with a positive attitude”

4. Let’s get down to business: How is business going?

Unfortunately, we cannot provide you with any facts and figures, but we can say this much: With 3 VCs and an excellent network of experts from business and research, we are starting a new round of financing with a positive attitude.

5. What does Munich mean to you?

As an innovative location with a multitude of startups and several excellent universities, Munich offers a good starting point for everskill. Furthermore, its proximity to mountains and lakes and its many cultural events make it a vibrant home base.

6. How will your startup become the next unicorn? Or will we see you soon at Epic Fail Night?

It's clear that everskill will become the next unicorn. A great team, hard work, and many years of experience in training are helping us grow the company.

7. And last but not least: Bavaria or '60?
