It recognizes sustainable, non-profit, and innovative ideas that actively support young people in education.
Who can apply?
On the one hand, the competition is aimed at those who are just starting out with their social entrepreneurship concept and are close to realizing their non-profit business idea. On the other hand, existing social entrepreneurs who want to further develop their existing business and raise awareness are also welcome to apply.
The focus should be on solutions that address the societal and social challenges in the context of "youth and education." This could be in the areas of cultural or political education, integration, engagement with refugees, or the creation of training opportunities for young people, among other areas. It is also important that the concept is long-term and sustainable, as well as transferable to other regions or areas.
What is there to win?
The most innovative educational ideas will receive a total of €75,000 in prize money. Of this, the Kutscheit Foundation's special prize, endowed with €25,000, will go to the best idea in the field of "language development." The winner can also use the monetary award as seed or growth capital. Additionally, the individually tailored start-up coaching provided by Social Entrepreneurship Akademie offers positive benefits for the winners.
A jury of experts from academia, business, media, and the non-profit sector will select the winners by September. The awards ceremony will take place in November.
