Almost traditional to Bits and Pretzels The IHK Crowdfunding Night will take place as a side event. This time, everything revolved around crowdinvesting. Together with IHK expert Linette Heimrich Crowdinvesting as growth financing for companies.
The event primarily focused on the following questions: How exactly does crowdinvesting work? How can startups use this form of financing strategically? What pitfalls should be avoided when crowdinvesting, and when does a campaign become successful?
Linette Heimrich remained true to her concept at the seventh Night. In addition to experts, crowdfunding-experienced startups also shared their experiences with the investor swarm. This gave visitors the best possible mix of information, experiences and, of course, tips for their own campaign.
The speakers in detail
Jan Thomas Age – Investment Manager of the crowdinvesting platform Companisto.
He shared his insights into which startups make it onto the platform and what they need to bring to successfully complete financing rounds.
Julian Peters – Co-founder of the innovative fashion label Jaimie Jacobs.
The company turned to crowdfunding for growth in 2015. The 3D shoe generator convinced over 400 investors to invest a six-figure sum in the fashion startup.
Matthias Schmitt – Research associate at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition.
He took a scientific look at this new form of financing. In a research project funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), he is investigating, among other things, investor behavior in crowdfunding. It was fascinating for the audience to see who is behind the investors and who exactly is investing in the campaigns.
Bavarian Networking & Platform Exhibition

In addition to the classic networking, there was also the opportunity to meet the contacts of the platforms at the Exhibition platform.
