The tech startup parcelLab GmbH from Munich wins with Bavaria Capital and four renowned business angels, strong partners who are investing a high six-figure sum. The Munich-based startup plans to use the investment to expand its development and sales team and to become more active internationally.
The Munich startup parcelLab helps online shops optimize the customer shopping experience during shipping. Delivery delays are detected using an innovative algorithm and communicated to the customer via automated customer communication via various channels such as email or SMS. DHL, Hermes, and other carriers no longer communicate with the customer; instead, the shop itself stays in touch with the customer through personalized texts and offers: All emails are in the retailer's corporate identity, and shipping tracking is also done directly in the shop.
In addition, parcelLab provides every online retailer with a detailed breakdown of the logistics service provider's shipping performance, which brings transparency to delivery processes and highlights deviations between agreed service level agreements and actual shipping performance.
Technological and financial added value through parcelLab
Integration into the online shop is achieved through simple system integration. With this solution, the startup creates a greater degree of transparency in shipping, reducing logistics and customer service costs while simultaneously benefiting from increased revenue through untapped sales potential. Roman Huber, Managing Director of Bayern Kapital, is enthusiastic about the startup's technological approach:
"With its business idea and innovative technology, parcelLab offers mail order companies clear technological and financial added value. We are convinced that parcelLab will position itself excellently in a growing market segment with its product solutions. We are therefore pleased to be able to support parcelLab through our financing together with a consortium of industry-experienced business angels."
Anton Eder, founder and managing director of parcelLab, is also looking forward to future collaboration with the investors:
"Especially in the highly competitive e-commerce sector with its high competitive factor and companies like Amazon, Zalando, etc., our technology can offer many retailers a decisive competitive advantage. We are very pleased to have strong partners like Bayern Kapital and the other business angels who support our vision."
