ESA BIC Bavaria enters a new round

ESA BIC Bavaria is entering a new phase: You can still apply to the ESA Business Incubation Centre Bavaria until August 29, 2016. You can receive €50,000 in funding.

The Business Incubation Center (BIC) Bavaria The European Space Agency (ESA) supports entrepreneurs with innovative ideas for the use of space technologies in other economic sectors in Bavaria, including at its locations in Oberpfaffenhofen and Ottobrunn. "But this isn't about rocket science," as the incubator itself states.

Not rocket science? So what's the ESA BIC Bavaria all about?

With €50,000 and additional support such as space or coaching, the project promotes the transfer of technologies and applications originally developed for space travel. This means integrating satellite navigation, robotics, or mechatronics into products from sectors such as automotive, sports, or location-based services. Interested startups must be no older than three years.

And another note for app developers: Until July 22nd, they can apply for the “Space App Camp“, which will take place near Rome from 12 to 19 September.
