With TECHFEST MUNICH from September 9 to 11, 2016, UnternehmerTUM is organizing a major international event that aims to be more than just a hackathon.
Within 72 hours, the 300 participants, in teams of three to five people, are tasked with planning, implementing, and presenting hardware or software projects. The attached makerspace offers optimal conditions for this: A 1,500-square-meter machine, metal, and wood workshop, as well as textile and electrical processing facilities, are available to the teams. 3D printers, laser cutters, and waterjet cutting machines allow them to create new shapes and process a wide range of materials. The most promising project from all the completed projects will ultimately receive an award.
Techfest supporting program: art, music, yoga and Flixbus
A supporting program with art installations, music, yoga sessions, and much more is intended to inspire the creative minds. Flixbus is supporting the event as a partner and transports participants from all over Europe to the Entrepreneurship Center in Garching free of charge.
