The startup scene is once again asking itself: Who is the coolest startup of the past year? Because that's exactly what the Startup Scene Award is going to honor. And two Munich startups are among the finalists.
12 nominated startups, 12 exciting ideas, 12 great teams – but only one Gründerszene Award. This year's nominees are once again broadly diversified, ranging from banking apps to vegetable rescuers to mattress sellers. Good news for the Munich startup scene: Two startups from the Bavarian capital also have a chance of winning the award.
Scalable Capital and Etepetete enter the race for Munich
Scalable Capital offers a robo-advisor that automatically invests its clients' money. This is intended to give clients with limited time and financial knowledge the opportunity to invest their money in stocks, for example. Since its launch in fall 2015, the company says that around 600 clients have used the service, which is available for investments starting at €10,000.
Another Munich startup nominated for the Gründerszene Award is Etepetete. This startup is all about vegetables. Not the flawless vegetables we know from the supermarket, though, but rather undersized carrots and crooked cucumbers. Since mid-2015, they've been delivered in organic boxes directly to their "vegetable rescuers."
