Manex AI
1st place: The Munich industrial startup Manex AI was able to Complete seed financing round of €8 million catapulting itself to the number one spot among startups of the month of June. Lightspeed Venture Partners and Blueyard Capital led the round. Capmont Technology and CDTM Venture Fund also participated as investors. Manex AI develops Manufacturing Optimization Agents – AI-powered software solutions for automated factories. The platform is aimed at manufacturing companies and aims to provide a central control layer for autonomous production. Peter Park
2nd place: As announced in mid-June, the Private equity firm Great Hill Partners acquired the majority Peter ParkThe startup, founded in Munich in 2019, is developing a digital platform for parking management and, according to its own information, currently serves over 450 customers and more than 90,000 parking spaces in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy. The technology replaces analog systems with a scalable, cloud-based solution with automatic license plate recognition. The exact amount of the investment is not disclosed. Scalable Capital
4th place: The Munich-based Fintech Scalable Capital was able to complete its largest financing round to date, as announced at the beginning of the month. The company received 155 million euros (175 million dollars). The round was led by investors Sofina and Noteus Partners. Previous investors Balderton Capital, Tencent, and HV Capital also participated again. The fintech's total capital raised to date amounts to over 470 million euros. Sofina is an international private equity firm based in Belgium and listed on Euronext Brussels. Noteus Partners is a pan-European investor focused on technology-driven growth companies. Helsing
5th place: Not even a year after the last major investment, Helsing in June the completion of his Series D financing round of 600 million euros The funding comes from both existing and new investors. Prima Materia is leading the round, with additional investments from Lightspeed Ventures, Accel, Plural, General Catalyst, and Saab, as well as BDT and MSD Partners. Helsing was founded in 2021 and positions itself as a defense company focused on AI-based capabilities to protect European democracies. To this end, the startup develops AI solutions for modern weapons systems and is now increasingly producing drones, aircraft, and underwater drones itself.
