Lemonflow receives pre-seed funding

The Munich-based AI startup Lemonflow has secured pre-seed capital from Speedinvest, the CDTM Venture Fund, and other industry experts. Lemonflow plans to use the fresh capital to further develop its product and integrate it into charging infrastructure across Europe.

The Munich startup Lemonflow has successfully completed its pre-seed financing round. The early-stage investor Speedinvest, the CDTM Venture Fund as well as industry players from the fields of mobility and artificial intelligence. With the fresh capital—the exact amount of which was not disclosed—the Munich-based startup plans to further develop its product and integrate it into the charging infrastructure across Europe.

Lemonflow is developing a voice-based AI agent for charging infrastructure operators. The young company's goal is to automate customer support, reduce operating costs, and simultaneously improve the user experience at the charging station. Lemonflow was founded by Lukas Fieber and Konstantin Huneke – two former McKinsey project managers with industry expertise. Fieber holds a doctorate in engineering from the University of Oxford, and Huneke headed the EV Charging Practice at McKinsey. Their company pursues the vision of creating the leading AI infrastructure for operational support in mobility – with charging infrastructure as its first application area.

Solution for real problems

According to the company, Lemonflow's AI is already being used in collaboration with charging infrastructure operators across Europe. In addition to voice control, the solution also offers cross-channel support via chat and email. The technical foundation is a combination of intelligent orchestration and low-latency infrastructure, designed to enable fast, real-time support.

Another key element of the platform is the continuous analysis of interaction data. This should enable the identification of root causes of problems and the derivation of operational improvements. Konstantin Huneke, co-founder of Lemonflow, on the current financing round:

"This funding enables us to take the next step on our journey to become the leading vertical AI solution in e-mobility and charging infrastructure. We are developing AI that truly understands the specific needs of the industry, integrates with physical infrastructure, and solves real-world problems at scale."

Goal: Scaling and integration in Europe

The funds from the financing round will be used to expand the product and engineering team and implement deeper integrations with charging infrastructure management systems. Furthermore, implementation with additional operators across Europe will be accelerated.

Victor Huerbe, Principal at Speedinvest, sees Lemonflow as an important building block for the next generation of mobility infrastructure:

"The mobility industry is at a turning point – operational excellence and customer experience are more important than ever, from charging infrastructure to parking. Lemonflow's vertical AI is built for this moment: deeply integrated, rapidly scalable, and practical. We are excited to support Konstantin, Lukas, and the team in building the AI infrastructure for the next generation of mobility."

Also Adrian Zierer, founder of Charge Construct and supporter of Lemonflow, highlights the relevance of the solution:

"I've implemented hundreds of charging stations for almost all CPOs in Germany – and experienced firsthand where the real challenges lie today. It's no longer just about expansion, but about efficient operations and excellent service. Customer support is one of the most difficult – and often underestimated – components. Lemonflow addresses precisely this with a state-of-the-art approach and a team that truly understands the operational reality on the ground. That's why I support them."
