Munich Startup: What does Voiceline do? What problem do you solve?
Nicolas Höflinger, voice line: Voiceline helps companies massively reduce the workload of field sales. Instead of laboriously typing reports and entering CRM data after customer appointments, field sales representatives simply speak into the app for two to three minutes. Our AI automatically transforms this recording into structured visit reports, CRM updates, and tasks – quickly, cleanly, and securely. This leaves more time for what matters most: the customer.
And not only that: Sales managers finally get a true overview of what's happening within the team, with customers, and in the market—which topics and market trends are emerging. This allows them to make more informed decisions and react more quickly.

Munich Startup: But that's been around for a long time!
Nicolas Höflinger: True – there are many tools that simply transcribe speech. Voiceline goes much further. We're not a voice-to-text solution, but an AI-based assistant platform that automates complex sales processes using voice input – from customer visits to evaluations. Voiceline not only automatically creates visit reports, but also transfers tasks directly to the back office, analyzes customer feedback centrally, and even supports sales representatives with targeted coaching before the next appointment. And best of all: Everything runs within our customers' existing systems and workflows – whether CRM, ticketing, or internal tools.
From everyday experience to business idea
Munich Startup: What is your founding story?
Nicolas Höflinger: The idea for Voiceline was born from a very simple thought: Working with your voice is much more efficient than typing. Our founding team experienced firsthand how much time is lost in everyday sales work because of the need to write long reports after each appointment and maintain CRM systems. However, it's much more natural and faster to simply speak your thoughts. So we developed Voiceline – a solution that automatically creates high-quality sales documentation from spoken language. Our goal: to make field sales smarter and more human.
Munich Startup: What have been your biggest challenges so far?
Nicolas Höflinger: To be honest: Artificial intelligence in everyday sales was a "nice to have" for a long time, and now it's a "must have." We've also invested a lot of fine-tuning to ensure that Voiceline truly fits seamlessly into our customers' complex CRM environments—flexible, secure, and stable. This work is paying off today.
Munich Startup: How are things going?
Nicolas Höflinger: We've been live since 2020 and are growing rapidly: We now have more than 20 people at Voiceline. Several enterprise and medium-sized companies use Voiceline daily in their field sales. Our AI processes thousands of sales actions per field sales representative per day, and the trend is rising. The need to make field sales processes more efficient is huge – and with every new customer, we realize that now is the right time for Voiceline.
Substance before show
Munich Startup: How have you experienced Munich as a startup location so far?
Nicolas Höflinger: Munich is the perfect place for us to grow. The proximity to strong industrial customers, the high quality standards, and the well-connected ecosystem create the ideal mix of challenge and momentum. Especially in the B2B sector, Munich is not a noisy location, but it is a highly productive one. This fits well with our philosophy: substance over show. We see many real doers here – pragmatic, open to new solutions, but always with a clear eye for added value. It's precisely this environment that drives us.
Munich Startup: Hidden champion or shooting star?
Nicolas Höflinger: Probably both – a hidden champion with shooting-star potential. We solve a common, yet enormously effective problem in field sales that many companies have long tolerated. Our customers are already celebrating Voiceline as a game changer. At the same time, we are still at the very beginning of a larger development – AI will fundamentally change everyday sales, and we are convinced that Voiceline will play a key role in this.
