Unit 214 becomes part of Squer

The Munich-based AI startup Unit 214 announces its acquisition by the Vienna-based software company Squer.

Unit 214 was founded in 2021 and specializes in various AI and cloud services. These include consulting and full-stack development, as well as blockchain and cloud-native computing. Squer is now leveraging this expertise and acquiring the startup entirely—including the founding team and employees.

The Vienna-based software company Squer focuses on services in the areas of system design and architecture, software modernization, agile transformation, cloud infrastructure and platform engineering. According to the Company Raiffeisen Bank International, the Rewe Group and Bitpanda are among its customers. takeover of Unit 214, Squer aims to deepen his expertise in innovative AI applications, including large language models (LLMs).

The two companies first met at an AI meeting in Munich. Various overlaps emerged – from a passion for cutting-edge technology to shared cultural values. This led to the idea of joining forces to tackle new challenges in software development and expand their offerings to customers.
