The Museum Island is not only a landmark of Berlin, but also a UNESCO World Heritage Site that attracts millions of people from all over the world every year. It was opened 200 years ago as a center for art and science, dedicated to imparting knowledge and sharing the joy of culture.
Against this background, the new partnership between Flix and the SPK wrapped ten Flix buses with individual anniversary designs to visually highlight the collaboration in cities and on the streets. The partnership brings with it a variety of offers for Flix customers:
- A contingent of free exhibition tickets for the Museum Island
- Exclusive competitions where customers can win special experiences related to the anniversary
- Cultural events organized jointly by Flix and the SPK
Mobility and culture go hand in hand
Daniel Krauss, co-founder of Flix, says:
"Especially in times of tight budgets for the cultural sector, we want to make a difference. With this partnership, we demonstrate that mobility and culture can go hand in hand. We are proud to be working with Museum Island to make this unique anniversary a reality for everyone."
The Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation also sees the cooperation as a groundbreaking partnership.
"The collaboration with Flix opens up new opportunities for us to inspire people about the diversity of Berlin's Museum Island and its cultural highlights and bring them directly to us. This commitment also underlines the economic importance of the cultural sector,"
so Hermann Parzinger, President of the SPK.
As part of the 200th anniversary celebrations, a variety of experiences are planned for visitors to the Museum Island: guided tours to lesser-known locations on the Museum Island, exclusive insights behind the scenes, museum nights and concerts in the Lustgarten or on Bodestraße.
