With Achim Plum's arrival, HTGF is embedding life sciences expertise in its management team, thereby strengthening the importance of this segment. The early-stage investor is already enjoying considerable success in this area. Portfolio companies such as Scirhom (63 million euros) or Tubulis (128 million euros) were able to realize large follow-up rounds this year.
In addition to the life science sector, the HTGF finances startups in the fields of deeptech, industrialtech, climatetech, digitaltech and chemistry. As the new Managing Director, Plum brings over twenty years of experience in the life sciences industry and extensive management knowledge. He has expertise in diagnostics, precision medicine, life science tools, and medical technology. His strength lies in combining scientific expertise with strategic business development. His previous professional positions include Epigenomics, Siemens, Curetis, Ares Genetics, Sphingotech, and Infandx. Plum has supported two IPOs and gained insight into the financing prospects of companies at all stages of development. His broad network in the life sciences industry opens up access to diverse partnerships and new opportunities.
