Meaningful: With Meaningful We have developed an innovative end-to-end qualitative market research platform that automates the entire customer survey process using artificial intelligence. Our platform enables companies to create high-quality interview guides, conduct automated customer interviews, and obtain detailed insights almost instantly. Our solution also facilitates the rapid selection of ideal study candidates, reducing time and costs. Our technology delivers accurate and rapid research results in virtually any language, helping companies make data-driven decisions more efficiently.
Munich Startup: But that's been around for a long time!
Meaningful: It's true that the qualitative market research market is already established, with major players like Gartner and Nielsen. However, many existing solutions still rely on manual processes, limiting their scalability and efficiency. Thanks to advances in artificial intelligence, we can now offer a solution that enables in-depth, automated customer interviews at scale, delivering fast, accurate insights. Our technology is particularly tailored to the needs of the European market and offers customized solutions for this region, while many new players originate outside of Europe.
Munich Startup: What is your founding story?
Meaningful: In September 2023, we met in Antler Startup Accelerator where we had the opportunity to develop and validate our business ideas. The idea for Meaningful arose from our own experiences and the difficulty of gaining high-quality insights. Traditional methods are often expensive and time-consuming, especially for small and medium-sized businesses. With our expertise in go-to-market strategies, AI products, and market research, we wanted to find a solution that would overcome these hurdles. Our founders contribute diverse experience and skills to develop Meaningful into a leading provider in the field of qualitative market research.
Limited resources and a lot of bureaucracy
Munich Startup: What have been your biggest challenges so far?
Meaningful: One of the biggest challenges was starting a company from scratch and learning everything from scratch. Developing a high-quality product with limited resources and navigating the bureaucracy of starting a company took a lot of time and energy. Furthermore, the acceptance of artificial intelligence in Germany is still evolving, requiring additional effort. However, we remain determined and are working hard to clearly communicate the benefits of our AI-powered market research solutions and raise awareness.
Munich Startup: Where would you like to be in one year, where in five years?
Meaningful: In one year, we aim to position Meaningful as an established player in the field of qualitative market research. Our goal is to further develop our platform, establish significant customer relationships, and achieve strong market adoption. In five years, we envision Meaningful as a leading provider of AI-powered qualitative market research at the international level. We plan to continuously improve our technology, enter new markets, and offer our solutions for an even broader range of industries.
More financial support options in Munich are desirable
Munich Startup: How have you experienced Munich as a startup location so far?
Meaningful: Munich has proven to be a very good location for startups, with excellent infrastructure, an active investor network, and numerous networking opportunities. However, we also found that financial support options in Munich are more limited than in other cities like Berlin. While Berlin offers extensive funding programs, such programs are somewhat lacking in Munich. Despite this challenge, we value the entrepreneurial climate in Munich and are convinced that we can build a solid foundation for our company here.
Munich Startup: Quick exit or long breath?
Meaningful: We're committed to the long term. Our primary goal is to build a sustainable and successful company. We focus on establishing a trusted brand in the field of qualitative market research and continuously driving innovation. Building a solid company that creates long-term value for our clients requires time and dedication. Therefore, our current focus is on further developing our product and building strong client relationships. It's too early for us to consider a potential exit.
