Another 65 million euros for Isar Aerospace

With another financial injection, Isar Aerospace is expanding its Series C to over €220 million. Among the new investors is NATO with its Innovation Fund.

Newspace startup Isar Aerospace announces an extension of its Series C round by more than €65 million. This brings the total financing round to more than €220 million. Significant contributions include NATO Innovation FundThe defense alliance's standalone venture capital fund for promoting technology companies is supported by 24 NATO Allies. The capital for Isar Aerospace represents the NATO Innovation Fund's first direct investment in a satellite services provider.

Other new investors in the expansion round included the European family office G3T, as well as the 10x Group, Besant Capital, Finadvice Med Holdings, and LP&E. Existing investors Lakestar, Earlybird, Airbus Ventures, Bayern Kapital, and UVC Partners also participated.

Isar Aerospace is the best-financed space company in Europe

The newspace startup develops launch vehicles that can transport satellites into Earth's orbit. According to the company, approximately €400 million has flowed into Isar Aerospace since its founding in 2018. This makes the Munich-based startup the most capital-strong independent company in the new space sector in Europe.

The latest funding enables the Startupto continue investing in the construction and equipment for series production. In May 2024, Isar Aerospace announced the construction of a production facility for commercial launch vehicles near Munich. 40 Spectrum launch vehicles will be built there annually.
