Blickfeld is known for its LiDAR sensors and perception software. These generate precise three-dimensional information about the shape and surface properties of surrounding objects, enabling a wide range of applications. The technology is already being used in the privacy-compliant detection of vehicle and pedestrian flows in retail spaces and public spaces. It also supports traffic flow optimization, urban planning, and the reduction of false alarms in building and security systems.
As Blickfeld and Senstar have now announced, they have been working together since the beginning of the year. The focus is on several projects to secure critical infrastructure, including airport security. To this end, they are strengthening the Munich The Senstar portfolio includes the 3D LiDAR "Blickfeld QbProtect." The sensor uses laser and semiconductor technology to detect security zones, such as those used to secure fences and perimeters. It generates precise 3D data, analyzes it directly on the device, and transmits the results to the security system without delay via standard interfaces.

At the end of last year, Blickfeld secured €7.5 million in growth financing. The round was led by private equity firm New Future Capital (NFC) and UVC Partners. All existing investors, including Bayern Kapital, Continental, Fluxunit – ams Osram Ventures, High-Tech Gründerfonds, and Tengelmann Ventures, also participated.
